Senior Care Worker - College/ House Coordinator Assistant

Term time only

The role includes caring for all aspects of the student’s daily life.

This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours as 8 hour days 5 days per week with some flexibility. The Senior Care Worker will support the management of the day to day running of a college household in collaboration with colleagues, with responsibility for the wellbeing of students and guiding others in their work. Tasks also include personal care, homemaking, meal time support, leisure activities, documentation, college session support and work placements.

A level 3 in social care is desirable but not essential. Completed Care Certificate is essential. Experience working with people with learning disabilities is essential.

Supporting Lives Facilitator /Care Worker

In collaboration with the house coordinator and others you will support one of our households and the wellbeing of the cohousers. This will include personal care, homemaking and leisure activities. Patterns of working with cohousers will be 40 hours per week spread over 5 days either in the morning or evening including one weekend day.

Teaching Assistant

(Full time fixed term Contract - Maternity cover) to be reviewed

We are an independent specialist college for young people (aged 16-25) with a range of learning disabilities.  Within our therapeutic community, emphasis is placed on crafts, the arts, movement education and care for the land.  Through learning, living and working together, each student is helped to reach their potential.

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support students across the College.

The key areas of activity are to:

Support the learning of individual students and small groups primarily in functional skills, life skills and work readiness.

Support individuals / small groups in off-site activities e.g. travel training or work  placements.

A Driving licence is essential.

The post is full-time term time 39 weeks per year.

9.00am to 4.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday.   Thursdays 9.00am -5.00pm

Hourly rate £12.67- Annual Salary £19,655

To commence as soon as possible.
