Friends Of The Mount

Become a Friend of The Mount and help sustain our unique community with young people with learning disabilities

With your regular support we can continue to offer a richer, fuller life to young adults with learning disabilities now and for years to come. 

We ask our Friends to contribute at least £5 per month, £15 per quarter, or £60 per year, but you are welcome to give any amount that is right for you.

As a Friend you will receive our regular fundraising newsletter and invitations to come to our Community and see first hand the benefit your support is providing.

In recent years, our Friends have enabled us to buy the garden’s 24-metre long poly-tunnel, a garden rotavator, two covered market stalls (to use at our Family Days, Summer Fair and external craft markets to sell Mount products), a new mixer for the Bakery as well as a wonderful wooden pergola which has been constructed on the back lawn here for all to enjoy.  This summer, with funds raised by the Friends, we replaced the worn-out camping equipment used by our College 1 students for their annual trip - they now have brand new tents, air beds and lots of other essential equipment.

We are now researching suitable replacement chairs for the Mount House dining room which we would like to purchase for the use in the forthcoming academic year.
