The Mount is a Specialist Further Education College for young adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities, aged 16 – 25, offering residential and day provision. Our vision is Living, Learning and Working. Formal and informal education merge across the waking day curriculum with students able to transfer skills from college to work experience and within the home environment. The Mount provides the opportunity for a 3 year college experience with a view that this might extend beyond this timeframe should individuals require additional educational input.
Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a teaching assistant to support students across the College. To commence in early September 2025
The key areas of activity are to:

Support the learning of individual students and small groups primarily in functional skills, life skills and work readiness.

Support individuals / small groups in off-site activities e.g. travel training or work placements.
This role includes care responsibilities, so training will be provided, including the Care Certificate.
The post is full-time term time only, 39 weeks per year.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9.00am-4.30pm. Thursdays- 9.00am-5.00pm.
Salary £12.83 per hour. Annual Salary £19,903.00.( Fulltime equivalent £23,684)
